Works in Safari on iPhone & iPad · iOS 9 and newer

The UDID lives on the device — scan this QR code with the iPhone's camera to open the finder there.

How it works

Three taps, that's it

1

Tap “Get My UDID”

In Safari on the iPhone, tap the button above and Allow the configuration profile to download.

2

Install the profile

Open Settings → tap Profile Downloaded at the top → tap Install.

3

Get your UDID

Safari reopens this page with your UDID on screen. Copy it, send it to your developer, delete the profile.

Safe & private

This uses Apple's official “Profile Service” mechanism. The profile reads only the UDID, model and iOS version, shows them to you in your browser, and nothing is stored on our servers. Remove the profile immediately after — it has no ongoing access to anything.

Why do you need a UDID?

Developers need your device's UDID to register it for ad-hoc test builds — Apple only lets an ad-hoc app install on registered devices. Without it, installs fail with “Unable to Install”.

Once your developer has your UDID and re-signs the build, they can send it to you as a one-tap install link through IPALinked — free, up to 500MB, no signup.

On a Mac or PC instead?

Mac: connect the device, open Finder, select it, click the subtitle line until UDID shows, right-click → Copy. Windows: iTunes → device icon → Summary → click Serial Number until UDID appears.
